Dont throw stone: The Glass Castle
Bibligraphic details: the glass castle by Jeannette Walls, published 2005 publisher: Simon&Schuster
For term one Roar I read a book called “The Glass Castle” by Jeannette walls. In this book she talks about her life growing up, and about how much it was a struggle for her. Having a father that’s an alcoholic and a mother that could care less about what the kids do. Growing up, she never really had a house that she could call her own or even had clothes that were hers . She rarely took shower or even went to school, because she was always bullied by the kids because of their appearances. all the things that she learned were as she grew up.At a young age she was able to read, much better than the kids her own age. Jeannette reminds me of scout in "To kill a mocking bird" by Harper lee, because she was a tom boy fought at school and didn't like wearing dresses. Her mother had a very different way for raising her kids. She let them do as the please, " Mother didn't believe in giving kids rules and restrictions sh felt it was good for the kids to do what they want, because they learned a lot from their mistakes" (walls 59). this is an important part of the book because it shows how with out structure in her life Jeannette was able to learn for her childhood and use that as her motivation to be better then what her parents where.

Jazz festival
September 24,2011
Dear dairy,
I just back from the most wonderful day ever. Today I went to an event called jazz fest. You might be saying what in the world is jazz fest? Well let me tell you jazz fest is this yearly event where tens of thousands of music lovers pour into streets of Columbus road to enjoy all different genres of music.( Berklee BeanTown Jazz Festival.). When walking around I saw many different ways that jazz was expressed either though art, music, and dancing. Jazz fest is based off of jazz music. Most of the people that performed on the stages were people that go to Berklee school of music or upcoming jazz artist from all over. It was a very exciting thing to be able to take part of because, I was able to listen to different kinds of music, I was also able to see a few a my friends perform on stage in front a big crowd of people. Some of the reviews from(Boston Events), talks about what goes on and how every year the number of people a grows, and how each year they add more and more activities to jazz fest. It also talks about who performs and how that is not the only day but there are others days were people perform. Well dairy that was my day at jazz fest and the things that goes on.
Sincerely yours
