My synopsis:
What Was She Thinking [Notes On A Scandal] is not a typically “This happens in a teenagers life kind of book”. It’s more like a “Ohh My Gosh! What, Nooo wayyy, WHAT WAS SHE THINKING” type book, but it takes a while to get intriguing, if your a person that likes action right off the jump like, The Hunger Games, by Suzanne Collins, then I wouldn’t recommend this book to you, but if you like a book that builds up until the big BANG like Lord of the Flies, by William Golding. Then go for it.
What was thinking [Notes On A Scandal] is a book is about an art teacher that has an adulterous relationship with a minor and how her life and the people that were around her changed. She loses her job as the art teacher, her kids are taking away from her and he husband refuses to talk to her. She kicked out of her home, and she becoming the laughing stock the town.
Barbara was a normal everyday history teacher. Preparing lectures, activities, Grading exams and papers, Hold parent-teacher conferences, Lead extracurricular activities, and many other thing teachers are suppose to do. She was a very quiet and self kept, but she and obsessive desire on becoming friends with Sheba. Every little thing Sheba does Barbara writes down in her dairy and tries to piece together what she is like. Sheba on the other is described as a tall thin with a dancer’s body and very long crazy hair. She like to wear really long flowing skirts that were see though an made with delicate materials. She has a problem controlling her class, they take advantage of her, and refuses to listen to her when she tries to calm them down. Member of the staff at first didn’t like her because the though she was “cocky and stuck up”.
